It is not only with divine grace that Egbe-Idimu LCDA in Alimosho LG, Lagos would feel the touch of God's hands by indication of the recent turn of event -- albeit in Alimosho as a whole. Signs of harmony and peace evolving here and there to put the LCDA in effective shape since a couple of months past now. It is equally with the mercy of God that His eventual guidance of His chosen one in Prince Idris Balogun shall the mystic touch bearer to be invested for the path to renewed unity.
Effectively, the illumination cleared the fog of his ensnaring bewitchment not only off the 'Orija's eyes; it equally ridded him of the clout of frien-imies that have deceptively rushed to fill a significant space in a clearly accommodating and compassionate soul with divisive and schism scheming that had rather put the All Progressives Congress (APC) in disharmony, disarray and a push to the precipice since the administration of Prince Balogun began about a year ago.

It flows from here that the search for holistic harmony for Egbe-Idimu chapter of the APC is just at incipient. And it should begin with the search for the right personality to occupy the seat of LGA Party Chairman. Thus being the organic motive for this missive for which this writer has to break his sabbatical leave from public commentary to add his voice for the good of all. Accordingly, I here speak to all leaders concerned, especially our greatest and resilient leader -- the strongest in political pugilism with enduring capacity -- Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo to present a motion for nomination of the right candidate found suitable for the position at this auspicious time. I should also recognise the right of Hon Kehinde Joseph's significant voice that cannot be dismissed in this important decision making as the Constituency 02 visage in the government. Chief Sunday Aboyade is equally here being addressed too.
Doing this offer of opinion is never with any prejudice to the competence of others that may be found preferentially seated at the heart of our respective leaders as equally suitable for it. But I have no doubt that no leader in this LCDA would want to doubt the potentially sound judgement of this writer to offer the right evaluation of the worthy candidate too.
To nominate a person of competent pedigree indisputably known to be a bomb at the job of party management with over 30years of experience, permit to look in the direction of Egbe Ward to present Com M. Olanrewaju Oke. Thence, it is equally imperative for me to add assertively that this nomination speaks directly to the demand of current circumstance if the interest of larger members of the party is to take precedence to all other considerable factors to apply for evaluation of the qualification. To this extent, *maturity* of the candidate in mind and acts should come first in choosing the next person to become Egbe-Idimu LGA Party Chairman.
Under the current circumstance of the LCDA just sighting a light at end of the tunnel of decade long fractures of multiple dimension the party has engrossed itself, it requires a matured mind, a man/woman to be guided by altruism in doing things rather than holding a blind allegiance to needless partisan factional idiosyncrasies. And as earlier said, the succour that came now out of the boldness of the head of government, Prince Balogun, in taking precise decisions to redefine and distinguish merit from mediocrity that had run riot in sustaining the lingering disunity should not be allowed to wane.
To prevent this and to make the new found peace enduring is to bring forth an established expertise in human relations with complementary flair for conflict management to the head of party administration too for the right synergy to work hand in gloves. This Party Chairman should be with flair for intuitive capacity for efficient reconciliation of factional divides, and presentable with savvy in procedural arbitration imperatives as an when necessary.
It also demands of a personality with a heart of compassion and generosity desirable for equity and balance of justice in matters of partisan interest of the inevitable factional divides he's bound to inherit, which shall surely dominate the challenge of his/her integrity on daily basis.
All these requirements that transcend partisan leadership motive, also go beyond the convention of power sharing if the mission is to build and improve the morale, esteem and vibrancy of the party's hoi polloi and encourage them to put in their best into the coming general elections..
To you all leaders and to the notice of all party faithful too, permit me once again to present my nomination of Comrade Olanrewaju Oke for the position of Egbe-Idimu LGA Party Chairman with backing of his credentials for the assay. These are to come in two folds.
The first is his qualification as a seasoned politician and seasoned administrator per excellence. He complements these two with a background in the profession of character moulding and knowledge building as a professional teacher who rose to the director cader as a Level 17 officer in the Lagos civil service. Like Adams Oshiomhole of the Nigerian Senate, he has a well tested background competence in career unionism, rising to the position of Vice Chairman, National Union of Teachers, Lagos State Wing, working with that once versatile union leader Com Alogba to put the State Wing in the front burner of discuss at the national level.
In politics, he rose through the ranks from Ward Chairman of Ward E2 of the former wholesome Alimosho LGA to become the pioneer LGA Party Secretary for Egbe-Idimu.Anyway, as Yoruba would say, opo oro okun agbon.
