"MY 100DAYS IN OFFICE WILL SHAKE GROUND WITH ACHIEVEMENTS" -- PRINCE BALOGUN

Image
Story by Mariam Jimoh The chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the coming local government elections in Egbe-Idimu LCDA has reiterated his plan to mark a significant milage in his 100Days in office. Prince Idris Balogun made this reaffirmation at the stakeholders engagement of his party leaders at Samkol Garden in Alake Area of Idimu yesterday. Those in attendance as the audience included representatives of different institutional bodies such as artisans of different trades, leadership of religious bodies, members of quasi security organisations, members of community development associations and such others. Fondly called Oluomo Kaafata by admirals, the Crown Prince of Isheri Olofin said he had to repeat his set vision of Egbe-Idimu at his 100th Day in office to emphasise that he was coming to the office to hit the ground running. He had earlier revealed this at the opening of his party's campaign train held last week Thursday in Idimu. He said he ...

PRINCE BALOGUN VOWS TO DRIVE MONEY LENDERS OUT OF BUSINESS IN EGBE-IDIMU LCDA

Story by Mariam Jimoh & Bankole Akinlaye "I AM FOR APC! I BELONG TO NO CAUCUS", HE DECLARES It was a joyful moment for the market men and women in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) when Prince Idris Balogun announced that money lenders would no longer have a thriving business in his era of administration. He said all traders, particularly the organised market women would begin to enjoy trade grants to uplift their businesses. This came as he told the cheerful party faithful that he would not play any factional politics with his government. "I am for the party. You and I belong in APC only", he declared. Oluomo Kaafata, as he is fondly called, made these declarations last Thursday at the official flag off of the All Progressives Congress (APC's) campaign for the coming local government elections in Lagos State. The event also served as his reception back home from the state where he had gone to receive the party flag as the party's can...

BISI THE SINGLE STONE: ALIMOSHO IN AN EXCITING TIME

Image
Story by Razaq Adedeji Jimoh Long after Hon Bisi Yusuf's elevation to the height of Alimosho's commanding hegemony as a direct fall out of Mudashiru Obasa's impeachment, not a few people have reached out to me for my perspective understanding of the unfolding event. But a few among them would seem to have understood what could be the undertow of my evaluation of the situation. At least, this should go with verity from the case of one 'Didi Bugatti's response to my open correspondent to Her Excellency, Adejoke Orelope Adefulire (OFR) over her need to change leadership style to a more accessible presence to enhance the value content. Going to war path with his impish but serious reply in style of unrefined bootlicker and with conspicuous mischief, the Bugatti aptly connected my manifest cause of truth to his warped imagination of a new ground alliance of plots to displace Joke Orelope's leadership with the immanent Bisi Yusuf's Will of God. "It is the ou...

'MY BATTLE WITH NNPC OVER PIPELINE ROAD' -- KSO

Image
AWARD DAY ADVERTORIAL It has been said that governance is itself a craft that requires creative ingenuity. The Civics Council Chairman of the Year, Hon Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo (KSO), Executive Chairman of Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Alimosho Local Government in Lagos State is evidently found to have this in sufficient quantum and deployed it. In a manner of sort, he had a part of this to catwalk in a terrain the Angels feared to tread with the completion and delivery of the Pipeline Road Project How did he make? This and many more are the questions Civics Weekly will provide answers to on the July 22, 2025 Award Day as we present the 'Documentary of the Award Vindications in full supplementary publications with vedio backups For a tip of the icebag, the Honoree took Civics Weekly to confidence to reveal his 'ball game' that went into the completion of Pipeline Road, now Kunnle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo Avenu. He literally described it as his "battle" with the NNPC. A video c...

NOTHING DAUNTED: ENILOLOBO SETS TO CELEBRATE SALLAH JUST AS IN THE PAST

Image
In spite of the current upheaval rocking his political leadership in Alimosho and across the State Mandate leadership, Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo appears confident that all is well and that this year's Eid-Kabir Sallah will hold in the usual big form it used to be in the past. This was the information made available to Civics Weekly magazine by a source close to the Arida Hegemony. It was gathered that as late as 7pm yesterday, Monday, the 2nd of June, dispatching and distribution of live rams and cows to the homes of some All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and community elders continued from his Arida home. "This is the way he had been doing it in the past, so we should not expect this year's to be different", the source said. It may be understood that the recent APC Primary Elections for the coming local government elections in Lagos State did not leave the embattled party chieftain with convenience of power he used to wield as the 'Apex Leader' of ...
