OPEN LETTER TO 'MAMA ABUJA', 'MAMA FOREIGN'

March 25, 2025
The Alimosho GAC Member,
Princess (Dr.) Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire (OFR),
C/o OSSAP-SDG, Abuja.
Your Excellency, Mama Abuja,
MEMO TO MY LEADER 1: THE TRUTH TO THE PATH OF PEACE AND UNITY IN ALIMOSHO PROGRESSIVES
THE PREAMBLE
I should not pretend to believe that my colleagues in entire membership of our "Joke Orelope Camp" of the Alimosho Progressives would surely be surprised to hear me address you as 'Mama Abuja' in plausible interchange as 'Mama Foreign' or 'Mama Marina'. It should be so because it is always so when the truth comes out to dance. What do I mean? It may sound proverbial but it is in my personal coinage that when the truth comes to the open market to dance, it is to celebrate the burial of a lie that has lived long.
For a couple of years back now, we have enthralled with seeing you in the garb of, and accordingly, address you as Mama Alimosho. But after my deep introspection on our ceaseless problem of disunity from needless rancour in Alimosho All Progressives Congress (APC), and I realised that we have rather lost so much to it, I could only conclude. that we, and I mean entire members of your camp in general -- in our rank and file of "Asiwaju Solidarity Movement (ASM) -- have been living in fools paradise. We have been living in self denial of our reality with this wrong apptellation.
Thus, it is the outcome of my introspective troubleshooting of the causative problem that informs this open letter to you. It is the only option I could resort to when all efforts to reach you, meet with you, to discuss the subject matter with you on interpersonal rapport as my leader proved abortive. I have no doubt that you have copious proofs of this in your SMS box as much as your Akin Johnson can equally testify to if he would not be snared by prejudice
I feel compelled to speak out now in my right of the party's membership because it has become a problem that is taking its toll on the overall interests of the party and -- consequentially by extension -- on my personal interest.
For the avoidance of doubt, Your Excellency, to much that we could not deliver our conventional Alimosho victory votes to the balloting pool of Asiwaju's presidential victory in the 2023 elections, it has become an issue of "existential problem" for me to address and "take care of" in line with the advice of our patrilineage uncle, Wole Soyinka.
He said: "You cannot live a normal existence if you have not taken care of a problem that affects your life and affects the lives of others; values that you hold which in fact define your very existence. It is almost an existential imperative that in order for you to continue with a sense of fullness of yourself, you have to respond to a particular situation".
What I see to be the situation I am responding to here is our irrational indulgence of your elusiveness in enigmatic deity with our enthralling misrepresentation of you as Mama Alimosho. In contrast, the truth is that you are not and were never on ground in Alimosho as a live in, much more to being accessible leader, even in proof of attendance at party meetings. This is not only since after your formal induction as GAC member, but effective from the year 2004 before your relocation to Marina as a beneficiary abode of a state Deputy Governor. At about a minimum of four per month, Alimosho has convened about 36 Federal Constituency Meetings as at year 2024 ending since year 2005. It is on record that you have never attended any of it. But how your absentee leadership of Alimosho has been fuelling the partisan crisis of disunity since your membership of the GAC is the subject matter of this open letter.
I must nevertheless be clear from the outset that this memo is billed to come in serial because it is set as an epistle of what Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo had once described as the "History and Fundamental Facts" of our inventory of politicking. He made it a subject of his enlightenment at incipient of his leadership travails largely provoked by farce than facts -- I mean the farce of our faction's politicking mischief to drive down his annihilation for our partisanly pursued interest than the facts of our political history.
At this juncture, I could only plead with you to see this memo as one addressing issues of grave concern for our party rather than one engaging in affront to your innate leadership ego. I say this because truth can be so bitter in taste and devastating in impact. As Sam Omatseye would readily say, "truth is a furious bullet". I also always add in my own coinage that "it hits to heal, not to kill". So the scripture helps me to clarify it that ye shall be set free when you know the truth.
Hence my convenience to address you appropriately in the eyes of truth we all know as 'Mama Abuja' interchangeable with 'Mama Foreign' or 'Mama Marina.
Thus to conclude on this long preamble for the start that in the light of gospel truth, you have never been 'Mama Alimosho' that we began to call you in our hitherto thoughtful reflection of the right thing with your induction into the GAC. But I had since been convinced early enough that we were wrong.
The best of it you have attained rightfully is 'Mama Egbeda' and I should thank you for vindicating me with your absence at about the 37th Alimosho Federal Constituency Meeting held at the Akinogun conventional venue early this year. Rather, as the feeler had it even though you distanced yourself from it, we your Egbeda clique alternatively organised a musical jamboree featuring the Orobokibo Fuji maestro, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, at your narrow Egbeda enclave. Of course, they call it our Joke Orelope's version of the Federal Constituency Meeting.
Thus, it made a beggers believe to me when it shall become a day of unity in Alimosho ProgressivesProgressives; when you will put up the courage to stand on podium of Alimosho Federal Constituency Meeting with Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolibo to addressaddress the mammoth of party faithful. It will be a fateful day when 45 + 55 = 100 as mathematics of the truth that while acknowledging your GAC position, you will tell them that because of your busy schedules outside Alimosho, Enilolobo is the substantive leader to defer to by everyone in matters of the party affairs.
Would that day ever come? I have my doubts as we -- Joke Orelope Camp, perhaps excluding Your innocence, remained seated at the river bank waiting for the blink of the crab. And what could this infer? It is to be unveiled in the next memo. But as we all know, "Eda to n reti iseju akan a pe leti omi".
