SURPRISES AS JOKE ORELOPE, OLUOMO TURN MUSICAL BAND AT ADEFULIRE BIRTHDAY
Father!!! Always on top!!! This salutation slang should have been the best to give the celebrator if the political aura had moved from Alimosho to Marina in complete spirit the high number of the progressives had graced the occasion. But the outer mood of the joyous ambience appeared to have overwhelmed the spirit of political glamour the guests of interest here symbolicaly represent.
Perhaps if the slogan had made its shindig at the event, it could have been a strange cry to the man of the event. But the spouse would have aptly pick it as a message of home coming -- the shift of Alimosho terrain to the Island. "The Mountain has come to the prophet", she will say.
Literally to say the political family of his spouse had come to pay their homage. The slang would have been their libation because that alone -- the voice of politics -- is a significant mark of the happiness to see in the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State now Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire (OFR).
Welcome to the birthday event of High Chief Abiodun Adefulire, where Her Excellence displays her hidden talent of musical prowess in praises of her husband's day. Who would have thought the woman driving Nigerians to the era of hopeful prosperity and eldorado come year 2030 is also a gifted singer. That is what happiness do -- it brings out the best in you for your personal delight. One would also be surprised to see Oluomo Kaafata display excellence as a backup singer and tambourine player. See video above.
What never changes about the SDG woman is her humility in fashion and in doing things. That you could see at the church service for her crown -- High Chief Adefulire. It was an exception from the convention of a gale of high profile galaxy of fashionista to expect at such event of her calibre.
Yet in that modesty, quality of life radiates out like the spectra of rainbow in the guests privileged to grace the occasion. On familiar note of politics and political constituency that cannot be separated from the woman, one could see the Crown Prince of Isheri Olofin and Special Adviser to the Senate President, Idris Balogun (aka Oluomo Kaafata); the new Balogun Adinni in town, Akin Bashiru, (ABC Oooyato) and Rallying Point of everything and anything ASM; Executive Vice Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon Akinpelu Johnson.
Others include the Senior Legislative Aide to Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muyideen Adetunji (aka MD); and of course, a former aspirant for the House of Representatives in Alimosho, Olaseni Pipo, who may be described as the Paul of Renewed Hope era -- for seeing the light now.
In his speech, the celebrator, High Chief Abiodun Adefulire, described her wife as a gift of marriage God had blessed him with. He said it could as well be his confession to say "Adejoke means everything" to him.
There is something of latent mystery about a name. It must be one reason the Yoruba say Ile la wo k'ato so'mo l'oruko. Born on the eve of new year, Her Excellency must be lucky not to have 'fake' Abiodun for a spouse. Little wonder the family continues to encounter bliss from the start. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DADDY.
