SAYS THEIR PERFORMANCES SHOULD BE A "CALL TO RIVALRY" AMONGST COUNCIL CHAIRMEN OF LGAS AND LCDAS
The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Cornelius Ojelabi, has personally celebrated the council chairmen of Ayobo/Ipaja and Mosan/Okunola LCDAs whose celebration of 100 days in office he personally attended to commission some projects. While describing his presence at their events as "honour and privilege", he was unequivocal about their laudable achievements in office within a short period of three months.
Civics Weekly learnt that while Ojelabi was disposed to attending every of such invation to grace a local government occasion, the "silent rule" is that such event must have a significant and genuine electoral value assets to showcase as a means of working to put the party on a sure footed ground in the area.
On Thursday, November 27, Ojelabi was at the Ground Finale events of Hon (Dr.) Agbaje Abiodun Lukmon, whose euphoria of performance has continued to echo in high pitch in the Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA he governs. Those who should know have described his achievements that were celebrated on that day as "unprecedented in the history of Alimosho Federal Constituency in the past two decades and half". Taking to his Facebook handle the following day, Ojelabi talked of his "honour to commission the newly constructed road at Igbogila Street". He described it as a display of "APC's good aims" for Nigerians everywhere across the country. He also confessed of his stunning amazement about how Agbaje was "turning promises to progress" with cool calm mien.
He said: "Yesterday, I was indeed honoured to commission the newly constructed road at Igbogila street, Ayobo Ipaja LCDA in celebration of the 100days in office of Dr. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA). This speaks volume of the good aims and agenda of the APC for all citizens of Nigeria. I also learnt 6 other roads are also ready for commissioning. In addition, about 10 transformers are procured to alleviate the electricity supply problem and also series of empowerment done for widow, women, men and the youths.

"Standing there amid the cheers of excited residents, with kids racing bikes on the fresh asphalt and traders smiling at easier access to markets, I felt a surge of hope for our community. What struck me most was Dr. Agbaje's emotional stability, his steady hand guiding these massive wins in just 100 days: 7 roads transforming mobility, 10 transformers lighting up homes, and empowerment programs lifting widows, women, men, and youth from struggle to self-reliance.
"No chaos, just calm resolve turning promises into progress. It's the same grit that fuels academic excellence: staying grounded amid pressure to deliver real results. I'm inspired and committed, more commissionings ahead, brighter futures for Ayobo-Ipaja!
Having also attended the 100 days celebration of the Mosan/Okunola LCDA on Friday, Ojelabi described the Executive Chairman, Hon Akindele Adunni Opeyemi as evincing "visionary leadership". He noted that she had "started on solid footing".

To mark this milestone, the LCDA commissioned the rehabilitated 2nd Avenue Road, now proudly renamed Adunni Akindele Way (formerly Boys’ Town Road), a rehabilitated block of six classrooms at Abesan Primary School, and the fully restored Opeki Primary Health Centre. In a bold move to bolster security and essential services, official vehicles were presented to the Nigerian Police Force, the Mosan-Okunola Environmental Team, and the Mosan-Okunola Security Team, alongside a life-saving ambulance for the LCDA health facility".
Implicit that all the commissioned works were rehabilitated projects, he nevertheless described them as "lifeline" worthy of emulation as a wake up call to other Council chairmen in showing tangible results going forward.
He said: "On behalf of my team, the state party executives, and the leadership of our great party, I make bold to say: Hon. Akindele has started on a solid footing and will continue to build on it. Thank you for consolidating the Renewed Hope agenda of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ensuring that its benefits flow directly to the grassroots in Mosan-Okunola.

Raise the bar for governance, and together, we will elevate the standard of living for every Nigerian. Mosan-Okunola has shown the way—now, it is time for others to follow and surpass".
He commended the Council Chairman for the good start and reminded the people of Mosan/Okunola LCDS to realise that they did "not lose their votes" by voting APC.
