NIGERIA IS UNDERGOING PAIN OF RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY, NOT BAD GOVERNANCE' --* Prince Balogun

SAYS ANY PLOT OF PROTEST NOW IS A PLOT OF REVOLUTION AGAINST GOD
Report Toyo C. Ngem
A former Aspirant to the House of Representatives for Alimosho Federal Constituency, Prince Idris Balogun, has said that under the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, "there is no bad governance" in the country. He advised organizers of the looming protest to rethink their actions and engage the government in peaceful dialogue.
In a press release he personally signed, a copy of which Civics Weekly obtained, he said Nigeria is only undergoing the "pains of reconstruction surgery", which citizens and residents must endure if they wanted the economy of their country to be healed from the fractures and injuries of the past decades of bad governance. Popular by his political brand Monika as Oluomo Kaafata, he observed that it is only in healthy Nigeria that Nigerians can achieve the legacy of prosperity they could wish for themselves and their coming generations, adding that it is God at work in the making of a new Nigeria.
The statement reads: "I am delighted to hear and know that more and more well meaning Nigerians are rising up to condemn any plan for protest against the government at this crucial time of Nigeria's journey to her Eldorado. As I see it, this is an indication that a very large numbers of Nigerians are with Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his efforts to rebuild the country from ruins of over 30years of bad governance we have gone through. I will also add that this popular supports from Nigerians yet in this period of hardship will go a long way as another testimony in reaffirmation of the legitimacy of this administration to the international community. This fact is even enhanced the more by choice of the organisers of the protest to be faceless.
"Contrary to the position of the organisers with their #endbadgovernance, Nigeria is currently not in the rule of bad governance. The country is only undergoing the pains of reconstruction surgery of her economic and political body system, which have been damaged by the past long years of the real bad governance under the past military and civilian rules alike".
The Crown Prince of Isheri Olofin Kingdom in Alimosho, who is also an Aspirant to the seat of Egbe-Idimu LCDA Council Chairman, therefore advised Nigerians to see the current hardship in the country as the hands of God working on Nigeria. The statement reads further: "What we need to do as Nigerians now is to appreciate this administration of President Tinubu as a time of God's works to return our country to the part of glory. We know that Nigeria is a highly religious country and we have been praying to him to save our country from collapse. I think this is His answer to our long years of prayers. And I do not think anyone would want to doubt this if all of us realise the miracles that made Tinubu to overcome all obstacles put on the ways of his walk to becoming the President. Both the Muslims and Christians know from their scriptures that this was how God saved our prophets -- Mohammed (PBAH) and Jesus Christ -- with many signs of miracles that ensured their survival to deliver their worldly missions He sent them.
"Therefore, I would like to say that Nigerians should see the planned protest as a plot of revolution against God, which we must all rise to resist. More and more Nigerians should tow the path of our apex Christian body -- Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) -- which had also come out to condemn any need for protest at this time.
"Saying all this, I still have to advise the organisers of the protest to tow the path of dialogue if they feel strongly about their view of any alternative means the Federal Government could go about repairing the economic ruins. Nigerians can now testify to the administration of President Tinubu as one with listening ears, going by many policy reversals he had made on account of public outcry again them. That, as we saw it, included the unprecedented suspension of a serving Minister on account of demand for justice for suspected wrongdoings. All this makes the attribute of a leader that holds his people in high esteem as the bedrock of real democracy", he concluded.
Oluomo Kafata is known to have embarked on series of palliative initiatives to ameliorate the economic hardshipss in his Alimosho Federal Constituency effective from early June of 2023 when the policy of fuel subsidy removal and harmonisation of forex windows began to take their tolls on the living conditions of Nigerians. Besides giving out foods and cash in serial intervals of three tranches, he bought and put three long buses on the major road networks of Alimosho for free transportation of workers in the morning and evening. This is still in operation today. He had also said that his administration as council chairman would focus on human capital development and sustained empowerment of the people to improve their living conditions. To do that, he said Egbe-Idimu would have a microfinance bank to drive his empowerment programme sustainaby.
