from the Editor's Desk OUR ATTENTION HAS JUST BEEN CALLED TO THE ERROR OF IDENTITY IN OUR RECENTLY PUBLISHED STORY ENTITTLED ASM KNOCKS OUT AMM AS EJIGBADERO RUNS FOR OLUOMO AT AJIGBOTAFE NATIONAL STADIUM. WE WANT TO CORRECT THAT THE SPORT CORRESPONT REFERRED TO WAS MEANT TO BE " AKA ALAM STRINGA " NOT "AKA ALASINGAPORIALISTIC". WHILE THE ERROR WAS AN OVERSIGHTED PRINTERS DEVIL, WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MIGHT HAVE CAUSED ANYONE . AGAIN, WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY WE HAVE WRITTEN THE STORY TO LIGHTEN UP THE MOOD OF ALIMOSHO PEOPLE AND RELIEVE TENSION FROM THE STRESS IN THE IN THE LAND. AND SOCCER AS THE UNIVERSAL SPORT FOR SUCH THERAPY IS THE REASON WE APPLY THAT.

Story by Razaq Adedeji Jimoh To one with heart of humanity, politics is a sport, not the act of brigandage some people of beastly instinct have always made it. Ngem, Barakat Ololade and Omotoyosi Hakeeb Thousands of Alimosho residents have condemned the leader of a political group, Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, for the sponsor of yet unabated “malicious” publications aimed at setting rifts within the Awori clan in the Local government. Civics Weekly gathered this as the public reactions to a story recently published in an online media, entitled “Orelope Celebrates as Alimosho Mourns the Death of Ajao”. This also came as the leadership of Asiwaju Solidarity Movement (ASM) paid a condolence visit to the family of the late veteran progressive politician, Hon Jimoh Ajao, who passed away on Saturday October 21, 2023. He had since been buried according to Islamic rite. In the alleged malicious publication, the story directly accused the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, an Awori Princess, Adejoke Ore...

This came as one of the veteran politicians in the Local Government emerged as the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of a national political body, Association of Amalgamated Support Groups (AASG). The AASG is a coalition of the over 2000 presidential supports groups that worked for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections. The unification election which was held on September 16, 2023 produced Engr Salisu Magaji (COREN) as the Director General (DG). Emerging developments within the AASG report that the DG Madgaji may have made a move to further consolidate the firmness of the new potential organ of APC by nipping in the bud, the attempt to create internal rift that may undermine the stability of the group in its yet early life of one month old.
